SINGING FROM A DIFFERENT SONG SHEET

DonaldShaw

Celtic Connections artistic director Donald Shaw is set to make his Born To Be Wide debut at Edinburgh's Electric Circus on Thursday 3 November. The award-winning composer, musician and producer will be in conversation with Olaf Furniss and will look back over a career which has seen play on over 100 albums.

Following the interview, Shaw will also take part in a panel entitled Singing From A Different Song Sheet, which will explore how different genres work and what they can learn from each other. He will be joined by the Director of Glasgow International Jazz Festival, Jill Rodger, electronic musician and producer, Sarah J Stanley (aka HQFU) and Stewart Brock, frontman with Glasgow pop act, Prides. An additional speaker is set to be announced next week.

After the seminar, panelists will play a selection of their favourite music and hang out with the audience.
