14th Birthday Events in Edinbrugh & Glasgow with HMUK
We mark our 14th birthday with two special nights to raise funds for the charity Help Musicians (HMUK). The first evening takes place on Thursday 1 February at our new Edinburgh home, The Pleasance, and begins with Scott Hutchison in-conversation.
The Frightened Rabbit frontman will also take part in a panel entitled Highway To Health, focusing common health issues affecting people working in music, how to pre-empt them, what support is available and how to stay healthy on tour. He joins Kezia Racher (HMUK) and tour manager Katie Macdonald, with additional speakers to be announced.
The following night, Friday 2 February sees our first Glasgow event in 14 years, with a discussion looking at how to get the most out of industry events and what organisers look for in potential showcase acts. Taking place at the Citizen M Hotel, it includes Alex Smith (XpoNorth), Morgan Woods, as well as Born To Be Wide and Wide Days founder, Olaf Furniss.
Both panels will be followed by socialising with music selected by the speakers.
