Free Glasgow Bus to Made In Adelaide Event
We are pleased to be providing a free coach for Glaswegians who would like to attend next week's Fringe evening, hosted with arts initiative Made In Adelaide on Wednesday 9 August at Summerhall, Edinburgh.
The event will feature a discussion focusing on what the city’s festivals can do to promote emerging Scottish acts and a reception with complimentary South Australian food and drink. This will be followed by showcases from three Adelaide acts – Wanderers, MANEand Carla Lippis - selected by Scottish tastemakers earlier this year.
“A lot of people from Glasgow come to our events throughout the year, so this is a way of saying ‘thank you’ to them,” says Born To Be Wide founder Olaf Furniss. “Guests will be collected from George Square and driven directly to the venue by luxury coach, then taken back to Glasgow at the end of the event.”
Scottish Music Industry Association projects and operations manager, Robert Kilpatrick has welcomed the move. “Glasgow! The Wide Bus awaits taking you on a complimentary tour to the capital for Born To Be Wide Meets Made in Adelaide,” he says.
The coach will depart the City Chambers in George Square at 16.30 and leaves Edinburgh’s Summerhall at 23.00. The ticket includes admission to the event and can be booked.
