Self-Help Seminar Announced and Born To Be Wide's Twelfth Birthday
Self Help Seminar Announced
Thursday 4 February I Electric Circus, Edinburgh
Born To Be Wide is set to celebrate its twelfth birthday on Thursday 4 February, with a self-help seminar specially for managers, artists and labels.
The evening, which takes place in Edinburgh’s Electric Circus, is the culmination of years of study and reveals the most – and least – effective approaches to promotion.
“This seminar will help unlock the many techniques within everyone’s grasp,” explains Born To Be Wide founder Olaf Furniss, who will chair the evening. “We guarantee that anyone attending will increase their chances of being covered and do a better job than most PRs.”
The seminar will cover themes including online promotion, social media, deadlines, creating an effective biography and how to get useable press photographs.
Confirmed speakers include BBC Radio Scotland producer, Amy Ferguson, photographer Jannica Honey, concert promoter James Bruce and owner of Song, By Toad records Matthew Young.
Following the seminar, panelists will play a selection of their favourite music and hang out with the audience.
Tickets for Wide Days will also be available to buy.
