John Abernethy has worked as an advisor at VisitScotland's flagship information centre in Edinburgh, since 2007 and has extensive experience helping tourists take advantage of the city's music offerings. 

He has also written numerous books, including last year's Little Book Of Scottish History [published by Collins] and co-authored Barbara Dickson's Autobiography.
