Garry Boyle
(engineer & producer)
After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University in Popular Music course in 2008, Garry started freelancing as a recording engineer and producer in a mixture of studios around the central belt of Scotland but most notably, Castlesound Studios in Pencaitland.
In 2014 he opened a new high-end recording facility, Slate Room Studios, where he is now permanently based.
Garry has had the pleasure of working on a wide range of music projects with bands such as Broken Records, The Katet, Stanley Odd, Federation of the Disco Pimp, Jellyman’s Daughter, Book Group, Dante and many more as well as projects for film (PIXAR Brave under producer Jim Sutherland) and television (several BBC projects).
In addition to his studio role, Garry also is also an engineer and sound designer for Theatre productions and holds vast experience on both large and small productions including GRIT: The Martyn Bennet Story, Struileag Shore to Shore, Janis Joplin: Full Tilt and many more.
