Born To Be Wide presents:The Power of Music Collectives

Born To Be Wide returns to Leith Arches on 22 October with a special night celebrating grassroots Music Collectives and their roles in championing a diverse range of genres and communities.

Speakers include Evie Smith (The Forbidden Zone), George McFadyen (Crowded Flat), Sanjeev Mann (Hip Hop Scotland) and Vicky Kavanagh (Works in Progress).

They will provide an insight into their individual approaches, the benefits of mutual support and tips on setting up a collective. Audience members will be invited to ask questions and contribute their own experiences.

Following the panel, a range of collectives including Hen Hoose, will be playing a selection of their members’ tracks.

The venue is at street level so can be accessed by wheelchair, but please let us know in advance so that we can set aside a good spot in the venue (hello@widedays.com). We are happy to provide a free ticket for a personal assistant for guests with disabilities.
